About six to seven years ago, around 2011 and 2012, I owned my blog for the first time. I hosted my blog on my personal computer, and I used to keep it running only for weekends. It was the good old days in my eyes, and I wrote articles about education, philosophy, the “great ideas” and anything that came to my mind. To keep it easy to maintain, I was using Wordpress along with Markdown support. Young and energetic, I updated my blog very frequently. It was like the “Dear Diary” to me at that time.

It was all going on well until the winter came. My ISP blocked the port 80 and 443 to shut down personal websites. I then moved it to my server hosted in Linode. That was also the time I entered high school and got heavy school work. I paused my blog, archived it and saved the copy. For long, the “Dear Diary” had disappeared in my life.

Now it is 2021. I’ve graduated from high school for a year and got some spare time. It’s time to find my old friend back. I’ve got time, knowledge and fresh ideas. I want to write. I searched around the internet and then found Hugo along with this theme. Like its name, Hello Friend, I’m welcoming my old friend to come back, and I’ll probably maintain this blog continuously.
